an intimate chapel proposal

Caleb and Brooklynn were too sweet. I loved getting wait for the big moment. I was hunkered down in a folding seat with my big 70-200mm aimed at the chapel doors, while Caleb paced around nervously until we heard Brooklynn arrive. It was a rather dreary day but these two truly lit up the room together.

When I started my business I knew I wanted to capture intimacy; to not create a staged illusion of a moment, but to capture the aura of memory as things unfold.  It never occurred to me that my way of working would fit into the niche of proposal photography so well. I've loved every proposal I've gotten the opportunity to document; there is so much joy, beauty and light in those first moments of realizing you get to spend the rest of your life with someone. Images do not truly do these moments justice, but I sure try.
