Destination | Mountainside Moments in the Ozarks
My father and step-mom moved to this area many years ago, and since becoming a photographer I've been dying to shoot a session with this insane mountain view. A few weeks back, I got the opportunity to shoot a family session for their neighbors. Shanon, Sheri, and little Evelyn were the sweetest, kindest people. They were amazingly laid back considering they were wrangling three dogs and a baby throughout the duration of our time together. Their infant daughter, Evenly, was the most fair tempered child I've ever encountered. I work with kids of all ages, and typically the most agreeable burn out about 40 minutes into a shoot. Evelyn was alert and engaged throughout our entire allotted time, and never fussed once. It was definitely a record.
While the view from their backyard is breathtaking, it was the small details they brought before my camera that made this shoot so stunning. From their patchwork quilt, to the blueberry bushes, to the small white wild flowers growing in their backyard; this sweet family has made the most beautiful, inviting mountainside home.
