Destination | A Timeless Mansion Wedding in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

Maren and Matt are such a fun couple! Their day was a perfect representation of their warm personalities and immense love for one another. From the spooky and romantic venue to the tear jerking vows, these two were beyond captivating. This was a wedding I felt right at home within from start to finish, even though I’d flown cross country by myself to capture it. It was amazing to me how comfortable I felt not only with them, but with all their family and guests.

The night of my arrival they invited me to the rehearsal dinner along with their video team, Ali of Her Third Eye. I ended up shooting a bit as a thank you for the impeccable free food and booze, of which I thoroughly partook. I’ve included my favorite moment from the rehearsal dinner at the very end, an editorial shot I composed of them in front of a pyramid of buckets. Maren and Matt, both creatives themselves, have been one of the only couples ever to remark on the fact that my work has a subtle sense of humor. Humor isn't something that’s really thought of in association with wedding photography. I’m typically coined as a dark and moody photographer. I’ve even been called edgy. Within that darkness lies a sense of satire that not a lot of people pick up on. I’m so very glad that they not only could sense my humor within my work, but appreciate and share in it. The bucket photo is the perfect example.
