Hey there! I’m Juliana!
I'm so happy you've stopped by. My name is Juliana Noelle Jumper. I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer based out of a little shirtwaist home in Historic Northeast Kansas City. I live with my husband, our six cats, and two Great Danes. I’m also a painter, avid traveler, and terrible yet enthusiastic ice skater.
My interest in wedding and lifestyle photography begin with my personal experience as a bride, and the difficulty in feeling like I just didn't quite fit. I am here for the rest of us; the romantic realists, the introverted, the anti-brides, and everyone in between. While I love the traditions and formalities surrounding one’s wedding day, I strive to push beyond these constraints to capture how your wedding feels, rather than how it’s supposed to appear.
Coming from a background in fine art and experimental documentary, I have a nontraditional approach to my subjects; I aim to capture the papers littering your desk top, your child's freckled nose, the way you caress your lover's face. Enlivened and endlessly interested by my clientele, I search for seemingly insignificant moments, small gestures, all those little details that make you 'you.' I am captivated by sentimentality- the stories you can't quite remember, the items you can't get rid of just yet. Through my lens I search for symmetry, minimalism, messiness, and narrative. I capture the joy in your most important moments and the poetry in between, ultimately creating a collection of heirloom imagery that is artistic, honest and intimate.
