Couples | Romance within the Deep, Dark Wood

I'd been searching for these woods for awhile. I'd seen the location in a few photographer's portfolios and I knew it had to be local. After some serious internet stalking, and roping a couple of friends into my obsession, we discovered the location of this stunning patch of woods. It was far on the opposite side of town from where I frequent, which explains why I had never encountered it before. Upon visiting the area a few days prior to this shoot I was completely blown away. It was stunning, dark, moody, and utterly romantic. 

When Alex approached me about taking her and Mike's engagement pictures I knew this would be the perfect spot for the shoot. Everything exceeded my expectation; Alex and Mike were hilarious and total naturals in front of the camera, they brought along their adorable dog, Winston, and the weather was a very comfortable 65 degrees. It was such a quick and easy shoot, and the location is definitively my new favorite spot for photos.
