Wedding | Dutch Still-Life Inspired Celebration at Loose Mansion

Kayla and Josh’s intimate Loose Mansion wedding was the fine art wedding of my dreams. Inspired by the autumn season they choose to use a combination of flowers and earthy vegetation throughout their day. The overall aesthetic was modeled after Dutch Still-Life painting. Y’all know how I feel about Dutch still-life paintings! Y’all know my Oklahoma accent starts comin’ out when I get excited.

Kayla and Josh chose to have a private ‘family only’ ceremony and a beautiful hand binding. Following the ceremony was a large reception which included the most hilarious Father of the Bride speech I’ve ever heard, and was concluded with a send off filled with bubbles and lots of cheers. The couple had chosen a team of impeccable vendors. Loose Mansion and Levity I always enjoy working with, and no one can go wrong with a cake from McLain’s. I’d also been dying to shoot a wedding with florals designed by The Cottage Rose, and they did not disappoint. Dream team status for real.

Vendors and details aside, I really enjoyed getting to know Kayla and Josh throughout their engagement, and working with them on their wedding day. They were an easy going couple with a great sense of humor, and a super cute corgi. I appreciated that they cast tradition aside and really made their wedding their own. They revealed their love in ways that felt utterly genuine; hand written letters for before and after the ceremony, hand binding, a few tears, and lots of laughs.
