Inspiration | Dark and Moody at Weddings Unveiled KC

Last Sunday I was one of several hand picked vendors selected to showcase at Wedding’s Unveiled KC, a bridal event hosted by EA Bride. I am not a bridal fair gal for sure. I’d never been to one nor have I ever shown at one prior. I was intrigued by this event in particular because each participating vendor had to have an interactive element to their booth (I was shooting some fierce engagement rings all day), and there were two live wedding shoots which vendors could take part. So naturally I jumped on that opportunity.

This shoot went fast. I think I shot over the course of maybe thirty minutes, which is insane. Traditionally we think of styled shoots as perfectly controlled and secluded, but this was performative and public. I shot away as couples surrounded us taking videos and watching intently. It was an invigorating experience and well worth the effort.
