Destination | A Modern, Glass Chapel Wedding for OK Lovebirds
Last month I traveled to my hometown of Tulsa, OK to shoot a wedding in the very venue I was married in nearly two years prior; a gorgeous, modern glass chapel in Broken Arrow. I may be a little biased but this wedding was seriously one the most beautiful I’ve ever shot. I can’t get over it. Alex and Cody were such a cool and gorgeous couple. I knew I liked them the first time we spoke on video chat and they introduced me to their cats. Ya’ll know how I feel about cats. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a cool cat cake topper like I did. (Yes, I’m 100% serious.)
These guys got so lucky with the crazy Spring weather that frequently occurs in the area at this time of year. That morning I was awoken by the not so soothing sound of tornado sirens. Around noon, I had to run to a Target to purchase some rain boots because I hadn’t thought it pack mine, and the rain was coming down so hard there was no way I could wear my flats. Luckily in spite of the terrible flooding and tornadoes, the bad weather managed to clear out just in time for the ceremony. During their portrait session we were even lucky enough to see the sun break through the clouds for a few brief moments. Overall this day was absolutely magical. It made me want to plan my wedding here all over again.
