When Ali & Ian booked me for their wedding I knew they were exactly the type of couple I wanted to book. They had a modern view of marriage I shared, and seemed to proceed with such intention in their planning; understanding the problematic nature of some of the more formal traditions, but acting with a certainty in wanting to express their love and unity. They also had a draw to the “dark and moody,” and a love of cats. So needless to say I could work with them, but more so, I could be friends with them!

Marrying in Blackwater in 2021 but residing in New Orleans proved for a rather difficult time scheduling their engagement session. However, over the holidays while visiting family they made the long drive to Blackwater for a shoot at their beautiful venue and around the historic town where they will soon tie the knot.
