Couples | A Quirky, Editorial Engagement at The Truitt

Jessica & Stephen’s engagement session at The Truitt is one of my favorite engagement sessions in recent memory. These two weren’t entire sure what they wanted in terms of location for their session. They decided to ask me if I had any spots in mind that I really wanted to shoot at but hadn’t done so yet. Honestly, I had to really think on it. Looking back over their questionnaire and my own Pinterest inspiration I decided to suggest The Truitt. Having already shot at it’s sister hotel, The Aida, several times I was fairly certain it would be a good fit. Luckily, the couple seemed as enthusiastic about the location as I was.

Jessica & Stephen showed up the day of their shoot with so many outfits to choose from and even brought books to exchange. I loved that Jessica exchanged a children’s book in addition to the novel that she had selected. They, like many of my couples, had turned the shoot into part of a day long date ending with them staying at the hotel that night. The space, the outfit choices, and their own warm nature turned out to be the perfect combination for a successful and enjoyable session!
