Inspiration | Modern Spring Romance at The Emerald

Early December I shot this mini styled shoot at the brand new Emerald Event Space in Blue Springs. The overall vibe we wanted to convey was a sense of fun and ease about the space, but what we ended up with was a laid back, slightly edgy, modern take on spring weddings. I had an absolute blast working with this particular set of vendors. It comes as no surprise that two of them are currently nominated for the KC Wedding Vendor Choice Awards. They were a seriously fun and talented bunch. I also have to brag about the absolutely gorgeous gown that was provided. Just look at the tulle train!! It was way too big for the model but after about 4 clips and some safety pins it looked stunning on her! At the very end of the shoot I made the mistake of eating one of the cookies; I say “mistake” because then I had to have another cookie, and then one more because I lack self control. Speaking of which, can we talk about the adorable mini cookie cake alternative? I am a fan.
