Couples | An Elegant, Woodsy Engagement

I will always be a huge fan of Burr Oak Woods. There’s something so elegant, and yet spooky about those tall tree lined trails. I was so excited when Ann and Carver settled on spending all two hours of their engagement session in the Burr Oak Woods nature conservation. I rarely get to take clients beyond that famous line of trees where everyone struggles to get a perfect shot.

Lucky for us, we were able to go midday during the week, and it was hunting season. There were only a few other groups of people around so we had clear access to everything. Maybe not the smartest move to be walking around in the woods when active hunters were on the premises, but it was a blast nonetheless. (No pun intended.) These images speak for themselves in conveying that this conservation is so much more than a pine tree forest.
